Stallions at Pleasant Hill
Pleasant Hill Pharm is currently standing the APHA stallion And The Oscar Goes To
And The Oscar Goes To
Oscar was purchased as a weanling to become our stallion as we
really liked his pedigree and have thought he would produce well on
our mares. He is sired by Mr Zip out of a
daughter of Zippo Pine Chex. Oscar had a
short show career as a two year old, but the opportunities are small
for a solid horse to be shown at APHA shows.
REI Say Your Prayers
Sayer is sired by Intimidating Te and out of a
Zippos Heaven Sent
daughter. Currently, he is in training and being shown on the local
level. He is not scheduled to be used until 2013, as we
would like him to get a show record before we retire him to the
breeding shed.
Mr Golden Bonanza (deceased)
Nana was everything and more from what we expected as a breeding stallion. He was by
Mr Fancy Bonanza who
has been a world champion producer and has been on the leading APHA stallions list for many years.
We were especially happy that he was a dunalino producing palominos
and red duns and being OWLS negative AND having a color record of
over 66%.
We were very fortunate to have had him and sad that we only had him
for 3 short years. His daughters will replace some of our
mares in the broodmare band, and hopefully he will
continue to influence our pastures! Currently, we
are showing REI The Mistress at the local level and she
is doing wonderful for us.
Bucky - Palomino Minature
So far, Bucky has become our lawn ornament and mower.
Super quiet to have around and very good with kids even
though he has already been used for many years as a
breeding stallion. If anyone is interested in
breeding to him, they are welcome to contact us and we
can see what he can do!
