| I got Peaches as a yearling. She was in a bit of tough shape with a few cuts, but I had been looking for a horse colored like her my whole life. I had actually just purchased a soon to be weanling buckskin toby colt because I had given up on my "ideal" horse quest when Peaches ad popped up on illinoishorse.com. From the moment I saw her there was no question that I'd take her home. I never even saw her move, just knew she was colored 99% of what I had in mind's eye and that she was quiet. So, she was loaded up, and she got right in....and then, much to my surprise...her handler took her halter off! Now I'm thinking, great, how I am going to catch her at home! No problem, she stood quietly and politely unloaded. She is everything I've ever wanted. Of all the horses I've ridden, she's far and away my favorite. The compliments never stop at any grounds or trails we're at. She's reliable and quiet and sweet...but is a tail swisher when she's cranky. I just started showing her this year. Last year we tried lunge-line, but she stumbled in the warm up ring and bruised her sole, so she was out for that day and I just never brought her back that year to show. This year, she's been out to a few fairs and open shows, but just to one Pinto show other than World. She has her ROM in open halter mares and I'm pretty sure she also has it in Am Western Pleasure and AM Ideal Western Horse, but those certificates have not arrived. She is also a reliable hunt seat horse, and even though she's not overly tall and doesn't stride out through her shoulder, we are still in the ribbons. At World she ended up top ten in both Novice Amateur English Pleasure and Novice Ideal Western Horse. She had never been in a venue like that, so I was really proud of her. Six days before my first class, I had been in a head on wreck (not my fault) at 50 mph in my little Ford Escort and showed with two completely broken in half jutting up under my skin ribs, a bruised spleen, liver, and lung and a sprained sternum...then we drive all the way to OK from IL and find it rained the whole time!! I had never been there before and didn't know about "The Pavillion" so we just figured there was no where to warm up. So my Princess Peaches, who is used to being turned out to pasture every day and lazy warm ups, went into her classes totally cold....then I had to ask her to really shorten up so I could handle her trot and jog and bless her heart she took total care of me. If I had been sound, I know she'd have been in the top three for sure of the Ideal class...which by the way ran at 10:00 at night! So, that's Peaches in a nut shell. Oh, I didn't break her until the fall of her three year old year, and she's at home so we have no indoor. I started her again at the end of March this year and she picked up where she left off. I have never had a martingale or draw reins on this mare, she rides in a snaffle and is calm as the day is long. She's got natural impulsion and collection and is as smooth as they come! We'll be at the four-judge IL Pinto show September 29th [2007] and if you're in the area come check her out. (check out my Pinto club at www.illinoispinto.com ) |

| I was just emailing
to tell you about another one of Nana's offspring- His barn name is originally
Louie. I purchased Louie from Rainbow Gate Farms in Christmas 2005. I kept him
boarded there until that June and then he made the long haul from Iowa out to California.
As you can see from the pics he is growing like a weed and is a leggy 2
year old right now! He is already at least 15'2, maybe 15'3. Although he
saddles and ponies, I don't plan on starting him until spring/summer 2008 at the earliest.
The winters are too much here so he gets the winter off. Louie is such a friendly and sweet guy. He is always
the first to come up to you in the pasture and will start nickering if he sees you from
afar. He is low man on the totem pole and is always covered in little scratches but
he does fine. He is noticed wherever he goes for being so unique looking and also so
sweet. He gets special treatment where I board and often I show up to find him
grazing alone in a neighbors fenced back yard. Bonanzas Peaches N Creme and
Louie look so much alike except she has more white. He has both eyes blue and is
registered overo- he has a white belly spot that you can't really see. I hope once
he stops growing and has time to mature he'll fill out like her. If you'd like any
more pics or information feel free to email me. Thanks! |

| Mis Bonanza Breeze ~ 1997
Bay Overo Mare (x Danca Irish Jig) |
|
![]() |
Breeze is offered for sale by Tami
Thayer of Osseo Wisconsin. See Breeze's add here: http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse.php?form_horse_id=1079918 "We took Breeze in on trade earlier this year.
She was used by a young girl from South Dakota in high school rodeo and SDRA. She is a
really nice horse, not your typical hyper game horse. My son has ran her in a few minor
league gymkhanas around here and she pretty much cleans house. We just don't need a horse
with her talents, she's being wasted at our place." Tami |
Mr
Sonny Bea ~ 1995 Palomino Overo Gelding
Proudly Owned and Much Loved by Patty Dollard of Goffstown, New Hampshire. |

"My husband and I are the lucky new owners of a 1995 Mr.Golden Bonanza son - a wonderful gelding named Mr Sonny Bea. I have attached a couple of pictures of Sonny (one pictured with the lady who sold him to us). He is just as wonderful as you describe his sire to be. I am 45 and was injured two years ago after being bucked off a horse I was trying out and thinking to purchase. After taking months to heal, I was concerned I would not be able to regain my confidence in a horse and to enjoy riding the way I always have. After much searching and many failed attempts, I contact Becky who told me about Sonny. I knew from the moment I saw him - he'd be perfect. My husband and I have ridden miles of trails since then - Sonny is solid, dependable and a wonderful companion. He has also given our flighty saddlebred mare (my husband's horse) tremendous confidence and we have been able to ride trails we would not have been able to ride without Sonny's calm presence. We are looking forward to doing some sponsored rides this season. He is a clown in the barn, talks to us in the morning and makes funny faces out the window at our house. He is a miracle to me in many ways! Seems to look like his Dad too! Sonny is the best guy and we just love him! He has loads of personality - he makes funny faces when you are coming out to feed in the morning and spends his time at night tossing all the halters, leads, etc off their hooks and out the door into the yard!! My husband, Tim, and I (and Sonny) live in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Thank you and I would love to
hear more about Sonny's relatives if anyone wants to correspond!
