Here at Pleasant Hill we are striving to raise pleasure horses that are family friendly.  We cross our mares on stallions that are known to be easy to handle, therefore producing foals that are athletic as pleasure horses that can be easily be trained for the amateur or youth rider.

Our breeding program consists of APHA mares with some very well noted pleasure horse backgrounds. Our Quarter Horse mares are being crossed with APHA/AQHA stallions to produce those highly sought "colored" Quarter Horses.

Stallions

Our senior stallion is solid chestnut And The Oscar Goes To. He is sired by the 1996 Top Jr Western Pleasure Stallion Mr Zip, who now resides in Denmark.  Oscar is out of a Zippo Pine Chex daughter who won the Iowa Breeders Futurity as a 2 year old, then retired to be a broodmare.  Unfortunately, she did not get the chance to have many foals until her untimely death.  Oscar is deep hocked and flat kneed, and passes those qualities onto his foals.

Our junior stallion is REI Say Your Prayers. He is AQHA/APHA registered, and do to an eye injury, Sayer will only be shown on a limited basis.  He is sired by Intimidating Te out of a Zips Heaven Sent daughter.  He will start his breeding career in 2012 with a limited book.
